The Hayloft is a converted barn on our farm in Chunal, near Glossop. It's on a hillside, so the views are good. You look out towards Kinder Scout.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not fancy. Because it's a converted barn it's over three floors, so you'll be going up and down stairs.
You're on a working farm, so you'll hear and see the animals. We're around if you have any questions about it. We've got two stables available if you're bringing horses. The Pennine Bridleway starts at the end of our track, about a hundred yards away.
The place has bedding and towels, WiFi, a TV, a shower, and parking. There's bike storage. You can bring up to two dogs.
For shops and a pub, you need to drive about two miles. Charlesworth village is five minutes away and has a couple of pubs that do food. Glossop is about ten minutes. It's a proper town with supermarkets, shops, and a train station with direct trains to Manchester.
For walking, you're right in the Peak District. Hayfield is ten minutes away and is the start for a lot of walks up onto Kinder. Castleton and Edale are within half an hour. Buxton is about thirty minutes as well.
