Shutlingsloe

Shutlingsloe is our cottage in Brook Bottom, Derbyshire. It's on our farm, up on Cobden Edge. The views are excellent. You can see right across the Peak District and the plains towards Manchester on a clear day.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-kept.

The place has underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. Outside, there's a patio with a view. You share a small gym and a wood-fired hot tub with the guests in the other cottage next door.

You're at the end of a quiet lane here. Walking trails start from the farm, through the fields and onto the moors. It's a good spot for getting out into it.

For shops and a meal, Marple Bridge and New Mills are about ten minutes drive. New Mills has the Torrs Riverside Park and the Millennium Walkway, which is worth a look. There's a train from New Mills into Manchester city centre, which takes about half an hour.

You're right on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Popular spots like Hayfield, Buxton, or Edale for the Kinder Scout walks are within 15 to 30 minutes by car. Castleton and the caverns are about the same.

The facilities are all there: parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. Sorry, no pets.
