Shutlingsloe
This is Shutlingsloe. It's on our farm, up a quiet lane at Brook Bottom. There are two cottages together, mine is the one on the left. You get good views from up here. You can see right out over the Peak District.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which is comfortable. We've got underfloor heating and a wood burning stove. There's a patio area outside.
There's a shared wood-fired hot tub a few steps away, between the two cottages. There's also a shared small gym in the outbuilding, if you're that way inclined.
You can walk straight out from the cottage. The footpaths go through the fields and onto the moors. For wider exploring, Peak District National Park authority site has good information.
Marple Bridge, Marple and New Mills are about ten minutes drive for shops and pubs. New Mills has the Torrs Riverside Park and that walkway along the gorge. The train from New Mills gets you into Manchester in half an hour.
You can get to Hayfield or Castleton in maybe twenty minutes. Buxton is about half an hour. The National Trust has several properties nearby like Lyme Park.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, and TV. WiFi works fine. We include bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside. Sorry, no pets.
