The Old Shippon At New Ringstones Farm
The Old Shippon is on our working farm in Rowarth. It's a converted cattle barn, so it's a single, open space inside with high ceilings. We did it up a couple of years ago.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The bed is a kingsize. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it and underfloor heating. You go down a few steps from the main room to get to the bedroom.
Inside, there's a wood burner, a smart TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. The kitchen has what you'd need. Outside, there's a patio with a table and chairs, and a space to park your car. You can store bikes.
The local pub, The Little Mill Inn, is about a fifteen minute walk down the lane. They do food.
You can walk straight out from the door onto the footpaths. It's right on the edge of the Peak District. Hayfield and the start of the Kinder Scout walks are a short drive. Glossop is about ten minutes away for supermarkets.
If you're planning days out, these sites are useful: Peak District National Park and National Trust Peak District. You can get to Bakewell or Castleton in under half an hour by car.
Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, electricity, wifi. There's a cot available if you need one. No pets.
