Woodlands Barn

Woodlands Barn is a bungalow in Chinley. It's detached and sits up the hill, so you get a clear view out over the village and the Peak District. The drive is private and quite long, which gives you a bit of separation.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both have king-size beds, though one can be made into twins if you let me know beforehand. There are two shower rooms, one is an en-suite. Everything was redone in 2023, so it's fresh and works well.

You can bring a dog. Up to two, as long as they're not too big. There's a cupboard in the utility bit for their stuff.

The kitchen has what you'd expect, dishwasher and that. The living room has a smart TV and an electric stove that looks like a wood burner. The best bit is the patio at the front. It gets the sun and has that view. There's outdoor furniture and a chiminea you can use.

There's parking for two cars and an EV charger. A secure bike store too.

Chinley village is a short walk downhill. There are two pubs, an Indian restaurant, a chip shop, and a couple of cafes. A small shop, post office, pharmacy. The train station is there as well. You can get to Sheffield, Manchester, or Edale in the Peak District quite easily.

For walking, you can go straight from the door up onto Cracken Edge and towards Kinder Scout. If you drive, Castleton with its caves is about 20 minutes. Buxton is 15 minutes, it's got the Opera House and shops. Chatsworth House is maybe 25 minutes, Lyme Park a bit further.
