Lane Ends Cottage is on the edge of Disley. It's a semi-detached cottage from the 19th century, but we had it fully renovated a couple of years ago. It looks out over fields at the back.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and everything's new, but it's still a cottage. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they're a bit steep.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids. You can fit two cars on the drive.
Disley village centre is about a fifteen minute walk. There are a couple of pubs and shops. The train station is there too. You can get a direct train into Manchester or up to Buxton in about half an hour.
Lyme Park is maybe a ten minute drive. It's a big National Trust estate with a house and deer park. You can walk there from the cottage if you don't mind a long one. It's right on the edge of the Peak District. You can be walking on the moors within five minutes in the car.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got a few places. Buxton has the Pavilion Gardens and the opera house. Castleton has the caves. Edale is where the Pennine Way starts. The Torrs in New Mills is interesting, it's an old industrial area with a walkway through the gorge.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, wifi, and bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs.
