Squirrel Cottage

Squirrel Cottage is in Glossop. It's a terraced house, end of a row. We had it fully renovated last year so everything is new.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with king-size beds. The second one can be split into two singles. Two bathrooms: one en-suite with a bath upstairs and a shower room downstairs. It's got a Four Star rating, so it's comfortable and well finished.

Inside, it's all open plan downstairs. The kitchen has an island you can eat at. The bi-fold doors open right up onto the patio if the weather's good. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a little mezzanine area with bean bags and a TV. It's a quiet spot.

The stairs are worth mentioning. They're open-tread and a bit steep.

The garden is a decent size. Lawn on one side, patio by the doors. You do see squirrels.

You can walk into Glossop town centre in a few minutes. There are supermarkets, pubs, cafes. Manor Park is just around the corner. For walking, the Longendale Trail starts nearby. It's flat and good for bikes.

You're about half an hour's drive from the proper Peak District. Edale and Castleton are that way, with all the walking. Buxton is in the other direction. The roads can get busy in summer.

What's here: parking for one car on the drive, WiFi, a smart TV, dishwasher, washing machine, bedding and towels included. You can bring two dogs. There's a barbecue.
