Shepley Mews is a modern house I built a few years ago in Old Glossop. It’s terraced, so it's attached to the house next door. The back garden is fully enclosed and private, and there's a hot tub on the patio that fits four.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms and two shower rooms, so no one has to queue. It’s a new building, so everything works and it's clean and uncomplicated.
You're right on the edge of the Peak District National Park. You can walk from the door into the hills. Manor Park is five minutes away and has tennis courts, a playground, and bowling greens.
The nearest pub, which also has an Indian restaurant upstairs, is about a five minute walk. Glossop town centre is a mile down the road. It’s got butchers, bakers, the usual shops, and decent pubs. The train station there gets you into Manchester in about half an hour if you fancy a city day.
Within a half hour drive you’ve got a lot. There’s Hayfield, which is a good start for walks up onto Kinder Scout. Castleton is about thirty minutes away for the caverns like Blue John. Buxton is the same sort of distance for the Pavilion Gardens and the opera house. Lyme Park, which you might recognise from TV, is also about half an hour.
The house has a dishwasher, washing machine, parking for two cars on the drive, and wifi. All bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
