Lavender Cottage
Lavender Cottage is in Buxton. It's a barn conversion, one of the older buildings here, and it's got Grade II listing. The walls are stone, and there are plenty of beams.
It sleeps six with three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. The layout is a bit different: the main living area is upstairs. That means the views from the sitting room are good, over the fields.
The cottage is next to our bed and breakfast place, but it's entirely separate. You have your own garden and parking.
You can walk into Buxton centre in about 15-20 minutes. There's a pub about five minutes walk away, and a shop about ten minutes. Buxton has the Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens if you're looking for something to do.
We're right on the edge of the Peak District. You can walk straight out from the cottage. The golf club is very close. For a longer walk or a cycle, the Peak District National Park site has good routes. The Tissington Trail is about a 20-minute drive.
Castleton and Bakewell are each about 20 minutes by car. Chatsworth House is about half an hour. If you like stately homes, English Heritage and the National Trust have several places within an hour's drive.
For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. We allow one well-behaved dog. The garden is enclosed.
