Lavender Cottage

This is Lavender Cottage in Buxton. It used to be a barn, a really old one from the 1500s. It's Grade II listed, which means it's got a lot of original features like beams and stone walls. It's on the same site as our B&B, but it's entirely separate and private.

It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and each one has its own ensuite bathroom. The stairs are a bit steep, it's that sort of building.

The living area is upstairs. It's open plan, so the kitchen, dining, and sitting room are all together. It gets good light. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe if you're bringing a dog.

You're a 15-minute walk from the centre of Buxton. You've got the Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens there. There's a pub and a restaurant about five minutes walk away. For a proper supermarket, you'd drive into town.

You're right on the edge of the Peak District. Walking and cycling routes start practically from the door. Buxton and High Peak Golf Club is very close. The Tissington Trail is about a 20-minute drive. Bakewell and Castleton are about the same.

Within half an hour you can be at places like the Goyt Valley or Chatsworth House. Alton Towers is under an hour if you've got kids who want that.

For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
