Holmfield is on a quiet street near the centre of Buxton. It's a stone terrace house. The back garden has a decked area, which gets the afternoon sun.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms. One is on the second floor and has a kingsize bed. The bathroom is on the first floor and has a shower over the bath. It’s a 4 Star place. It’s comfortable and everything works, but it's not showy.
The living room has a gas wood burner. The kitchen has a table. There's WiFi and a washing machine. All bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
You can walk into Buxton town centre in a few minutes. There are pubs, restaurants, and the shops. The Opera House is close by.
The main thing is the location. About 100 yards from the house is a footpath. You can walk straight up through the woods to Solomon’s Temple and Buxton Country Park. Poole's Cavern is very close. The Go Ape activity site is in the park.
For days out, Chatsworth House is about a 15-minute drive. The Peak District National Park starts less than a mile away. You can be in Edale or the Hope Valley in around 30 minutes. Manchester is an hour away by train if you need a city day.
