The Farmhouse at Gradbach is over by Flash, up near the River Dane. It's a big place, sleeps sixteen, so it's really for groups. It's part of an old mill complex, so it's stone-built and it's on its own, surrounded by fields. The house has seven bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom.
It's got a kitchen with a wood burner and a range cooker. There's a games room. Outside, there's a garden and a patio area with a private hot tub.
The location is quiet, right in the Peak District. The Peak District National Park website has walking routes. You can walk up to The Roaches straight from the door, it's a well-known spot for climbing. Lud's Church, which is a deep chasm in the rock, is nearby too.
Buxton is about twenty minutes by car. You've got the shops and the Opera House there. Bakewell is around half an hour. Chatsworth House is about forty minutes away. Alton Towers is within a thirty minute drive, if that's your sort of thing.
Inside, all the bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. There's parking.
You can order food to be ready for when you arrive, like breakfast baskets or evening meals, but you need to arrange it with us at least a week before.
For planning days out, these sites are useful: National Trust Peak District and English Heritage.
