Holly Cottage
Holly Cottage is in Langley, just outside Macclesfield. It's a small old mill worker's house. It sleeps three. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The main thing about it is the rooftop balcony. You can sit up there and look out over the fields and the hill. It gets the evening sun. There's also a garden with a stream at the bottom.
Inside, the living room is small but it's fine for three people. There's a wood burner for cooler nights. The kitchen has what you need.
A quick note on the stairs: they're the original cottage stairs, so they're steep and a bit narrow. Just take your time.
The local pub is less than a hundred yards away. They do food. There's another one in the village too. A decent shop is a mile away in Langley. Macclesfield town is about ten minutes by car if you need supermarkets or more places to eat.
You're right on the edge of the Peak District here. You can walk straight out the door into Macclesfield Forest or up Teggs Nose. Shutlingsloe hill is a good climb from the village. For a day out, Buxton is about half an hour's drive. Leek is a bit closer.
Facilities: all the basics are included, like bedding, towels, WiFi and a washing machine. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
