The Old Byre
The Old Byre is our old barn. It's on a country road, detached. We live next door but your garden is your own. It looks out over the fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. It's got a wood burning stove that works well. The main space is open plan, kitchen and living area. There are a lot of beams, you have to mind your head in a couple of places.
We've got it rated as 4 Star. It's comfortable and clean. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs.
The local pub is a mile down the road. The nearest shop is about two and a half miles away in Ipstones.
You can walk straight from the door. There are footpaths off the lane. For a longer day, the Peak District is right there. Chatsworth is about a 25 minute drive. Carsington Water is good for a walk and a coffee, that's about 20 minutes. Alton Towers is even closer, maybe 15 minutes if the traffic is light.
