The Old Byre Thorncliffe

The Old Byre is on a country road in Thorncliffe. It's a detached brick barn in the corner of our garden. You're on your own over there, with your own patio and a bit of lawn. The views are good, just fields and trees.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. We've kept the beams from when it was a cattle shed. The main space is open plan, so the living area, kitchen and dining table are all in one room. It feels quite big. There's a wood burner if you want it. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, just so you know.

There's a pub in the village, about a mile down the road. They do food. The nearest shop for basics is in Leek, about two and a half miles away. You can start walks right from the door. The footpaths around here are good.

You can drive into the Peak District National Park in about twenty minutes. Carsington Water is close for sailing or a walk round the reservoir. Alton Towers is about fifteen minutes by car if that's your sort of thing. For a proper day out, Chatsworth House is half an hour away.

In terms of what's here: there's parking right outside, a washing machine, WiFi, a TV, and bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot in one of the bedrooms if you need it. You can bring two dogs. There's a bit of an enclosed area by the patio, but it's not fully fenced, so you'd need to keep an eye on them.
