Moorecroft is a large detached house on the edge of Buxton. It sleeps twelve, in five bedrooms, with three bathrooms. It's a 5 Star rated property, which means it's well kitted out and finished to a high standard.
The main thing is it's got its own indoor swimming pool. That's heated, so you can use it year-round. There's also a games room and a cinema room with a big screen and Sky Sports.
The house is open-plan and modern. It's decorated with some unusual features. It runs on green energy from OVO.
You're about ten minutes' walk from the centre of Buxton. There's a pub about 440 yards away, and a restaurant even closer. The Cavendish Golf Club is five minutes' walk from the front door. If you want to go for a hill walk, you can be on a path in under ten minutes as well.
Buxton has the Pavilion Gardens, the opera house, and the Devonshire Dome. The opera house gets all sorts, from comedy to music to plays. You can check what's on when you book.
Within about thirty minutes' drive you've got Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Alton Towers is about twenty-five minutes away by car. There are also plenty of caves and cycling trails if that's your thing.
Facilities: the swimming pool, games room, and cinema screen are the big ones. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking for a few cars on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
