Walnut Cottage
Walnut Cottage is in Buxton. It's one of a small row of cottages just up from the main part of town. You get the whole place to yourselves.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is handy. One is downstairs with a super kingsize bed, and the other is upstairs in a galleried space. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they turn a corner and are a bit steeper than modern ones.
You can park right outside. There's an electric vehicle charger you can use, you just scan a code.
The garden is out the back door. It's enclosed, mostly lawn, with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
Everything's included: bedding, towels, WiFi. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. You can bring up to two dogs.
For the town, you can walk. It's about ten minutes down to the Pavilion Gardens and the Opera House. There are cafes and pubs. The supermarket is close by if you need it.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the Peak District. The Goyt Valley is a short drive and has good trails. The High Peak Trail is nearby for cycling or walking. Castleton, with the caverns, and Chatsworth are both about half an hour's drive. Matlock is in that direction too.
