Low View is in Chelmorton, which is a village about five minutes outside Buxton. It's a regular semi-detached stone cottage on a quiet lane. It's my old family home, so it was nice to get it done up properly in 2022.
It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, one bathroom upstairs and an ensuite bathroom off the main bedroom. It has a 4 Star rating. There's a wood burner in the living room. The stairs are normal.
The kitchen has what you need. There's a dining table in the living room that seats everyone. Patio doors go out to the back garden. The garage is accessible from the garden and has a washing machine in it.
For a pint or a meal, the pub in the village is good. There are others in Monyash and at Hurdlow, which are on walking routes. Buxton is a few miles away. It has shops, cafés, and the Opera House for shows. Bakewell, Ashbourne, and Matlock Bath are all within about half an hour's drive.
The area is popular with walkers and cyclists. You're right on the edge of the Peak District. Useful links if you're planning trips: Peak District National Park and National Trust Peak District.
Facilities: garden, parking on site, cot and highchair available, bike storage, WiFi, TV, beds made up for you. No pets.
