The Servant's Quarters is in Buxton, on a quiet street about 10 minutes' walk from the town centre. It's part of a big Victorian house. The entrance is on the first floor from the street, which means you go down to the kitchen and up to the bedrooms.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, each on a separate floor, and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The top bedroom has its own shower room and a little sitting area. The middle floor bedroom uses the main bathroom across the landing. It works for a family or two couples.
The kitchen is on the ground floor and opens out to a private, enclosed garden. It's a good spot if the weather's decent. The lounge is on the entrance floor.
You can walk into Buxton easily. The Opera House and the Pavilion Gardens are there, and all the shops and cafes. For walking, you're right on the edge of the Peak District. The walking is proper. You can be up on the moors or down in the dales in no time.
Within half an hour you can drive to Chatsworth House, or Castleton for the caves. The traffic to the more popular spots like Bakewell can get busy in summer.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Sorry, no pets.
