The Cosy Stable is in Grindon, Staffordshire. It's in the countryside but not miles from everything. The building used to be a stable, then a workshop. We've done it up for guests over the last few years.
It's detached and sleeps two. One bedroom with an en-suite shower room. There's also a single sofa bed in the main room if you need it. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is on one level and the door is wheelchair accessible. There's parking right outside.
It's open plan. The kitchen has what you need: a fridge-freezer, electric hob, and a combi microwave-oven. There's a table for two. The ceiling is high because of what the building was, and we put in a big light fitting. There's a comfortable sofa, a Smart TV with Netflix, and an electric stove that looks like a wood burner.
Outside, there's a patio area with a BBQ. You might see our dog, Skye, wandering about. She's friendly.
The location is quiet. The view from here looks towards Thor's Cave. There are good walks straight from the door. There are pubs in Butterton, Warslow, and Waterfall, all within a few miles.
For bigger days out, you're right on the edge of the Peak District. Alton Towers is about a 20-minute drive. The market town of Leek is about 15 minutes away.
Facilities are included: WiFi, bedding, towels, parking. You can bring one dog.
