The Cosy Stable is in Grindon, Staffordshire. It's in the Peak District. It used to be a stable, then a workshop. We renovated it a few years ago.
It's detached, so you're on your own. It sleeps two. One bedroom with an en-suite shower. Everything's on the ground floor and the entrance is step-free, which is good if you have mobility issues.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a kitchen area with a hob, a combi oven, and a fridge-freezer. The ceiling is high because of what the building was. There's a table for two and a sofa. The TV has Netflix on it. We put in an electric stove that looks like a wood burner.
Outside, there's a small patio area with a BBQ. You'll have your own parking space right there. Our dog, Skye, might come and say hello if she's out in the garden.
The location is quiet. You can see Thor's Cave from here. There are good walks straight from the door. The nearest pubs are in Butterton, Warslow, and Waterfall, all a short drive away.
For bigger days out, Alton Towers is about twenty minutes by car. The market town of Leek is fifteen minutes. You can get to Buxton or Ashbourne in under half an hour.
Included in the price: all the electricity, WiFi, bedding and towels. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's a washing machine you can use in our utility room next door if you need it.
