Stable Cottage
Stable Cottage is one of three places here at Broomshaw Farm in Winkhill. It's quiet, just off the main road. You're right in the countryside.
It's all on the ground floor. You walk into the sitting room, which has a sofa, a TV, and a dining table. The kitchen's through there. It's got what you'd need. The shower room is fine and bright.
There's one bedroom. It's a family room with a double bed and a bunk bed, so it sleeps four. The view out of every window is just fields and hills.
Outside, you get your own bit of patio with a bench. It catches the sun. The owner is friendly. There's a Shetland pony called Elliott in the field.
You can walk straight out from the door. Leek and Ashbourne are the nearest towns for shops. Alton Towers is about four miles away if that's your sort of thing.
You can be in the Peak District proper in no time. Dovedale and Ilam are a short drive. For planning walks, the Peak District National Park site is useful. So is the National Trust page for the area.
Included in the price: bedding, towels, WiFi, and electricity. There's a washing machine. You can bring one dog. Parking is right outside.
