Yelt Cottage

Yelt Cottage is in Wootton, Staffordshire. It's detached, so it's on its own. You get a small patio area out the front with a table and chairs.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one shower room. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. The bedroom is upstairs in the roof space, so the ceiling is low in parts. You have to mind your head.

Downstairs there's a living room with French doors, a TV, and an electric fire. The kitchenette is small. It's got a combination microwave oven and two hot plates, plus a small fridge-freezer. It's fine for making breakfast and simple meals.

The location is rural. You really need a car. There's a pub about a mile away and a shop a couple of miles off. The nearest proper town is Ashbourne, which has shops and places to eat.

You're right on the edge of the Peak District. Dovedale and the stepping stones are very close. For walking, the Tissington Trail and Manifold Valley are good. Carsington Water is nearby for sailing or windsurfing.

Chatsworth House is about a 30-minute drive. It's a big stately home with gardens. Alton Towers is only ten minutes away by car if that's your sort of thing.

Facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, parking, bedding and towels are included. There's no garden, just the patio.
