Tomfield Cottage is on the edge of Kingsley Moor. It's a semi-detached stone cottage, next to our farmhouse. You get your own private garden, which is fenced. The view is all fields and hedges, nothing else.
It sleeps six. There are four bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, not modern. The stairs are cottage stairs so they're a bit steep and turn halfway. There's a stairgate fitted.
The garden has a patio with furniture. Inside, there's a woodburning stove in the living room. We leave a starter pack of logs. You've got a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and bike storage round the back. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
The cottage is on a quiet lane. Hollins Lane is right there for walks straight from the door. The local pub is about a mile away in Kingsley. They do food.
You're right on the edge of the Peak District. The Roaches are a ten minute drive for a good walk. Tittesworth Reservoir is nearby for a flat stroll or birdwatching. The Churnet Valley Railway is about fifteen minutes away if you like steam trains.
For a day out, Alton Towers is roughly twenty minutes by car. Leek is the nearest proper town for shops, about four miles. Stoke-on-Trent is under half an hour if you want the potteries museums or a bigger supermarket.
