Tomfield Cottage is on Kingsley Moor, in Staffordshire. It's semi-detached, next to our farmhouse. You have your own private garden, though. The view from the back is fields and moorland.
It sleeps six people in four bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The stairs are steep and a bit narrow. Just so you know.
The garden is enclosed, so it's fine for a dog. We allow one pet. You're on a working farm, so you'll hear farm noises sometimes. There's parking right outside.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove, which is nice in the cooler months. We've left some logs for you. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them.
For a walk, you can go straight out onto Hollins Lane. The Peak District National Park boundary is about a mile away. The Roaches and Tittesworth Reservoir are good for a proper walk and they're about a 20-minute drive. Alton Towers is maybe 15 minutes by car.
Leek town is ten minutes away for shops and pubs. A decent local pub is about a mile down the road. The Churnet Valley has the steam railway and some nice trails if you like cycling or walking. For a longer day out, places like Buxton, Bakewell, or Chatsworth are all within 30-40 minutes.
