Number 29

Number 29 is a one-bedroom cottage, detached. It's on a quiet lane about a ten minute walk from Alnwick town centre. There's parking for one car right outside.

The place sleeps two. The main room is a decent sized lounge with a sofa, dining table, and doors out to the garden. The kitchen is separate. It's got a washing machine and a dishwasher. The bedroom is upstairs, and the bathroom is up there too with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating.

Outside is a small garden area, mostly grass. It gets the sun in the morning. It's a functional space, alright for a coffee or a drink.

Alnwick itself is good for a wander. The castle is the main thing, about a fifteen minute walk. It's a proper historic castle, and they filmed some Harry Potter bits there. Alnwick Castle has all the details. The gardens are impressive too, with that big treehouse restaurant. The Alnwick Garden is the website.

There's a good few pubs and places to eat in the town, all walkable. Barter Books is worth seeing, it's in the old station. Great for a rainy afternoon.

You're well placed for the coast. Alnmouth beach is about a ten minute drive. It's a nice stretch of sand. For a longer coastline walk, you can get to Craster or Embleton in under half an hour. The Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty site has walking routes.

If you want to go inland, the Northumberland National Park and the Cheviot hills are about half an hour's drive west.

Facilities are all included: bedding, towels, wifi, TV. One well-behaved dog is welcome. No smoking in the cottage.
