High Tide is in Boulmer, which is a little village on the coast north of Alnwick. It's a single-storey cottage on a working farm. The views out to sea are very good.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One has a king-size bed, the other has a super-king that can be split into twins if you need it. There's one bathroom. The bathroom is off the kitchen and there's a small step up to it. The shower is electric. It's a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-kept.
There's a wood burner in the living area. Fuel for it can be bought locally. The garden is lawned with a decked area. It's enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs. Speaking of which, you can bring up to two.
Boulmer Beach is right there, just a short walk. It's good for a proper walk or just messing about with the dogs. There's a village pub too. It's a proper local.
You're well placed for the coast. Alnwick is about ten minutes' drive south. The castle and gardens are worth a visit. Further down, you've got Cragside near Rothbury, which is about half an hour inland. To the north, Bamburgh Castle is about twenty minutes by car. The Farne Islands boat trips leave from Seahouses, which is just past Bamburgh.
The cottage doesn't have a washing machine, but the owner offers a laundry service if you need it. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. Things like a cot and highchair are available.
