Cockerwell
Cockerwell is the big bungalow on Cockerwell Farm, near Newchurch. Detached, set apart from the main caravan site so it's quiet. It's all on one level. The views out the back are great, over fields towards the downs.
Sleeps eight. Five bedrooms, two bathrooms. The rating is 4 Star. It's roomy and comfortable, not a show home. Everything you need is here. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog.
Newchurch has The Pointer Inn, a decent pub about half a mile walk. The Garlic Farm is just down the road, worth a visit. For the shops, you'll need to drive to Sandown or Newport.
The main beach for us is Sandown, about a five minute drive. It's a proper sandy beach with a pier and everything. Good if you've got kids. Lots of cafés and usual seaside things.
There's a lot to do on the island if you want. Osborne House is about twenty minutes away. The Needles are maybe half an hour. For walking, the coast path is excellent. National Trust Isle of Wight has details for their places like Mottistone.
The house has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's a games room with a pool table. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair. Parking is right outside.
One well-behaved dog is welcome.
