This is Robin. It's a yurt on the edge of Newport, Isle of Wight. It's on a farm. You get your own enclosed bit outside with a barbecue.
It sleeps five, but that's all in the one room. It's open plan. There's a proper double bed and then some singles. It's got its own little bathroom with a walk-in shower and a small kitchen area. There's a wood burner for heat. It's all newly done up and it's warm. The rating is 3 Star, which fits. It's clean and comfortable but it's still a yurt.
The site has a kids' play area and a small gym shed you can use. You'll probably see pheasants about. We get red squirrels sometimes. You might hear an owl at night.
It's quiet here. You'll hear children playing sometimes but it's not a place for loud parties. If you need more space, you can book the yurt next door, Kingfisher, as well.
Newport is five minutes drive. That's where the big supermarkets are. The coast isn't far. The nearest beach is probably at Cowes or Ryde, about fifteen minutes away.
For a day out, The Needles is worth seeing. Carisbrooke Castle is close. The National Trust has a few properties on the island like Mottistone Manor. The Visit Isle of Wight site has good information.
Things you get: bedding, parking, a highchair if you need one. No pets.
