Marina View
Marina View is in East Cowes. It's an end of terrace house on a quiet residential street, about a five minute walk from the marina. You can see the boats from the front upstairs windows, and the garden is completely enclosed.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms and there's one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable and clean with decent mod cons. It's not a period cottage, so no weird stairs or low beams.
For basics, there's a local shop a few minutes away. The main supermarkets are in East Cowes itself, which is a two minute drive or a fifteen minute walk. There's a pub and a restaurant about 500 yards away. East Cowes has the chain ferry across to Cowes, which runs constantly. It takes five minutes and you can walk on, which is easier than driving around.
Cowes is good for a wander. It's got sailing events, some interesting shops, and plenty of places to eat. If you're driving, most of the island's beaches are within half an hour. Ryde has a long pier and a sandy beach, Sandown and Shanklin are classic seaside towns. You can be at The Needles in about twenty five minutes.
For days out, National Trust Isle of Wight has all their properties listed, and the Visit Isle of Wight site is useful for planning.
Inside, it has what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the drive. It has an electric vehicle charger. We take up to three pets.
