Ash Barn - Fernhill Farm
Ash Barn is down at Fernhill Farm, near Wootton Bridge. It’s a new conversion, one of a pair of barns here. The main room has a high ceiling and looks out onto its own patio.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with an ensuite in each. You’re welcome to bring two dogs. The rating is 4 Star. That means it’s well equipped and comfortable.
The patio is furnished for sitting out. There’s parking right outside. The barn faces the farm drive, so it’s not completely isolated, but it’s quiet. Wootton Bridge village is a short walk. They have a shop and a couple of pubs. The Lakeside Hotel there does meals and has a spa. Guests here get a discount on treatments.
Ryde is about ten minutes away by car. It’s the main town on this side of the island, with a long sandy beach, a pier, and shops. For walking, you can start right from the farm. There are good coastal paths a short drive away.
Other places within half an hour’s drive include Osborne House, the Needles, and Ventnor. You can get to most places on the island easily from here. For planning days out, the National Trust Isle of Wight and Visit Isle of Wight sites are useful.
Inside, there’s WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding is included.
