Fair Isle Holiday Cottages - Fastnet
Fair Isle Holiday Cottages are just outside Newport on the Isle of Wight. Fastnet is one of them. It's detached, built in 2021, so everything's fresh and works properly.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is an en-suite to the main bedroom, the other is a separate shower room. Everything is on the ground floor, which is handy. The doors are wide and there are no steps at the entrance, so it's accessible if you need that.
The main room is open plan. Kitchen, dining, living area all together. The bi-fold doors open right up onto a full-length balcony. You get a good view over the fields from there, east and west, so you see the sun come up and go down.
The garden wraps around the cottage. There's furniture out there, and private parking for two or three cars.
There's a shop and a restaurant about a mile away. A pub is a bit further, maybe a mile and a quarter. The coast at Ryde is about a ten minute drive.
If you like walking or cycling, you can get onto bridle paths from here that go into Newport or towards Arreton village. Buses into Newport or Ryde stop about five minutes walk away.
Lots of things are within a half hour drive. Osborne House is east of Cowes. Carisbrooke Castle is just south of Newport. There's Robin Hill Adventure Park, the Garlic Farm at Arreton, and Ventnor Botanical Gardens down south.
Included in the price: bedding, towels, electricity, WiFi. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. You can bring up to two dogs. It has a 4 Star rating.
