West Barns - Fernhill Farm
West Barns is a pair of converted barns on our farm in Wootton. It's Ash Barn and Willow Barn together, so it sleeps ten across the five bedrooms. They're modern inside, but you can still see the old beams and the high ceilings. Willow Barn has a log burner.
Each barn has its own patio with a fence around it, so it's private. They both open onto a shared bit of lawn with picnic benches, which is handy if you're all together.
There are five bathrooms in total, which makes life easier with a group that size. Bedding and towels are included. You've got wifi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and parking right there. We can provide a cot and highchair. Up to four well-behaved dogs are welcome too.
The farm is quiet. You're in the countryside but it's only a five-minute drive to Wootton Bridge village for a shop or a pub. Ryde and its beach are about ten minutes away by car.
For a good day out, you're close to plenty. Osborne House is nearby. The whole west coast of the island, like Freshwater Bay and The Needles, is within half an hour. For walking, National Trust Isle of Wight has all the main routes. If the weather turns, the island's model village at Godshill is a reliable option, or the Roman Villa at Brading.
