Little Dover Cottage is on The Avenue in Ryde. It's a detached red brick house, tucked back off the road a bit. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you have dogs.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. The rating is 4 Star. It's comfortable. The stairs are fairly steep and narrow.
The living and dining area is open plan. There's a stone wall along one side. The upstairs has vaulted ceilings so the bedrooms feel light.
You're close to the seafront. The beach is sandy and you can see Portsmouth and the Spinnaker Tower across the water. The promenade has a lot going on: tennis, a bowling alley, a small funfair, a paddling pool. It's a few minutes' walk.
There's a pub about 170 yards away that does food. Shops are a bit further, maybe a ten minute walk.
For local walks, the coast path is easy to pick up. Further out, places like The Needles, Osborne House, and Carisbrooke Castle are all within about a 30 minute drive. English Heritage and the National Trust Isle of Wight pages are useful for those.
Facilities: parking for one car on the drive, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
