Merryweather Cottage
Merryweather Cottage is in Hillway, on the Isle of Wight. It's thatched, which is nice to look at, and you can see fields from the windows.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The stairs are worth knowing about. They're the original cottage stairs, so they're steep in places. There's a stairgate at the top. The ceilings are low in some rooms too, so watch your head.
You can walk to a sandy beach in about fifteen minutes. The local shop sells fresh crab and lobster. There's a pub half a mile away that does food.
Bembridge village is a mile down the road. It's got a harbour and another good beach. For other things to do, Amazon World and Robin Hill are about a twenty minute drive. You can get to Osborne House, which is English Heritage, or Carisbrooke Castle in under half an hour.
You're welcome to bring up to two dogs. There's an enclosed garden so they can't wander. There's parking right outside, a washing machine, and bedding is all included. We leave a cot and highchair in there too.
