Merryweather Cottage
Merryweather Cottage is on Hillway, near Bembridge on the Isle of Wight. It's a thatched cottage, one of a pair. It's old, Grade II listed. The ceilings are low and there are beams. It's full of character because of that, not in spite of it.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. We allow one well-behaved pet. There's parking right outside.
You can walk to the local sandy beach in about fifteen minutes. There's a shop about a mile away that sometimes sells fresh crab. The village of Bembridge is a mile the other way. It's got a nice harbour and a good beach.
Things nearby: there's a pub half a mile away. For a day out, Osborne House or Carisbrooke Castle are worth visiting. Ventnor Botanic Garden is about twenty minutes by car.
Inside there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. We include the bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. The stairs have a gate fitted.
