Downs View is a house up in Yaverland, on the Isle of Wight. It's a new build, so it's well insulated and everything works properly. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom and a shower room are downstairs, which is handy. The garden is enclosed at the back, which is good if you're bringing a dog. We allow one well-behaved pet. There's parking for three cars on the drive at the front.
The beach is about a three minute walk. It's a sandy beach, good for families. You can walk along to Sandown from there. The main reason you'd pick this spot is Dinosaur Isle museum, which is right next to the beach. It's a five minute walk from the house. The Isle of Wight Zoo is also very close, just past the dinosaur museum.
In the other direction, you've got Sandown pier and the esplanade with its cafes. It's all on the flat, so easy to get to.
If you want to explore, you can drive to Shanklin in about ten minutes. Ventnor is about twenty minutes along the coast. The whole island is accessible really. For walking, the Ventnor to Shanklin coastal path is good.
Inside, it's got an open plan kitchen and living area. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. WiFi is included. The furniture is modern and practical, it's a 4 Star place so it's comfortable.
