The Grain Store

The Grain Store is on Cooks Castle Farm near Wroxall. It's a converted Grade II listed building, next to another holiday place called The Hayloft. The farm is a working stables, so there are horses around. You get to it down a rough farm track.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms: one king size, one with two singles. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The layout is open plan downstairs. French doors open to an enclosed garden at the back.

The main bedroom has a big window looking out over the fields. The stairs are a bit steep, because it's an old building.

Wroxall village is quiet. Ventnor is about three miles south if you want the beach. There's a decent donkey sanctuary just down the road. It's a good spot for walking or cycling, with lots of paths straight from the door.

Within half an hour you can get to a few things. Ventnor beach and town. Carisbrooke Castle is about six miles. Osborne House is near East Cowes, maybe twenty-five minutes depending on traffic. The Needles and Alum Bay are about half an hour's drive to the west.

For facilities: it's got parking, WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. There's an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
