Red Squirrel Cottage
Red Squirrel Cottage is in Whitwell. It’s detached and sits in the grounds of our main house, which is called The House of St Francis. That’s a Georgian house from the 1750s.
The cottage sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It’s classed as a 5 Star property, which means it’s well kitted out and comfortable. It’s got its own enclosed garden and a private hot tub.
You’re about a five minute walk from the village pub. They do food. There’s a shop about a mile away in Godshill.
Ventnor is about three miles away. That’s the nearest proper beach. It’s a Victorian seaside town with shops and places to eat.
You’re right by the coast for walking. The Tennyson Trail starts nearby if you want a long walk to the cliffs. You can catch the open top bus from the village to see the island without driving. Alum Bay and The Needles are about a 30 minute drive. Osborne House is about the same.
For facilities: there’s parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a wood burner. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There’s WiFi.
