Red Squirrel Cottage
Red Squirrel Cottage is in Whitwell. It's detached, in the garden of a bigger old house called The House of St Francis, but it's completely private. It sleeps six, three bedrooms, and has two bathrooms which is handy.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well kitted out and comfortable. It's got a woodburner, a dishwasher, things like that. There's a hot tub in the private garden, looking out over the grounds. That's probably the main feature.
The local pub is about a five minute walk. Whitwell is quiet. The coast at Ventnor is about three miles away, that's your nearest proper beach. The island's bus route goes through the village if you don't want to drive. The coastal path is good for walking, and the Tennyson Trail starts not far from here.
You can drive to places like The Needles at Alum Bay or Osborne House in under half an hour. There's a golf course nearby too, within a couple of miles.
For facilities, it's all there. Washing machine, cot, highchair, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. No pets allowed.
