The Annexe
The Annexe is in Apse Heath on the Isle of Wight. It's a little ground-floor place attached to our main house, but it's all yours when you're here. It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one shower room.
It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. There's a little enclosed patio area with a table and chairs. You look out over fields.
The wifi works. There's parking right outside. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
There's a village shop about five minutes walk away. The nearest pub is a mile down the road in Newchurch. It does food.
You're right in the middle of the island here, so everything is easy to get to. The south coast beaches like Sandown and Shanklin are about a 15 minute drive. Ventnor is maybe 20 minutes. Cowes is 20 minutes the other way.
If you like history, Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle are both well worth a visit and are less than half an hour away. The pretty village of Godshill is close by, too.
For walking, the coastal path is obviously brilliant, and the National Trust has lots of land here. For general information, Visit Isle of Wight is useful.
