Sunny South Lodge is in Sandown on the Isle of Wight. It's a detached lodge, so no one's attached to you. It's for two people.
The place has a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well kitted out. Everything's on one level and the doorways are wide, so it's suitable if you use a wheelchair. There's a walk-in shower, no bath. You get the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed.
The beach is a short walk down a path. It's sand, it's good. There are cafes there. For things like paddleboards, WightWater is the place to go, they're right there.
You can walk to Shanklin in about twenty minutes, or get the Island Line train from Lake station, which is closer. The train takes three minutes. Shanklin has the old village, the chine, and the seafront. There's a dinosaur crazy golf course there. Sandown is about the same again, another twenty minutes walk or three on the train. That's got the pier and a long sandy beach.
There's a pub nearby. The local shops at Lake have a few takeaways, like fish and chips and an Indian. You can get buses from there to explore the rest of the island. If you've got an E-bike, there are outdoor charging sockets right outside the lodge.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. We leave some milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, and fruit for when you arrive. There are also some slippers.
