Driftwood

The place is called Driftwood. It's a bungalow in Godshill, so everything's on one floor. It sleeps four, has two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got the 4 Star rating, which is good. It means it's well looked after.

It's semi-detached. You get the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed. There's parking right there.

Godshill centre is about a ten minute walk. It's a nice village. The model village is there if you fancy that. There are a couple of pubs and tea rooms. The church on the hill is old, fourteenth century I think.

The bungalow has a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.

For the beach, you'd drive. Shanklin and Ventnor are about fifteen minutes by car. Newport is about the same, that's where the big supermarkets are. If you like walking, the footpaths start almost from the door. For cycling, the island is very popular for it.

If you're planning days out, these sites are useful: National Trust Isle of Wight and English Heritage for Carisbrooke Castle. The Needles, Osborne House, and all those places are within a half hour drive from here.
