The place is called Driftwood. It's a bungalow over in Godshill, split into two. It sleeps four. There's a double, a twin, and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The garden is yours to use, and it's fully enclosed. There's parking on the drive. Inside, you've got a washing machine, towels and bedding are provided, and there's WiFi.
It's a short walk into Godshill village centre, maybe half a mile. There are a couple of pubs, tea rooms, and a shop. The village is old and pretty, with a church on the hill. The model village is a popular stop. You can walk straight out from the cottage onto the footpaths around there.
For the beach, you're looking at about a 15 minute drive to Shanklin or Ventnor. Ventnor has the Botanic Garden, which is worth a visit if you like that sort of thing.
A lot of island things are within half an hour. Newport is about 15 minutes for supermarkets and the cinema. Osborne House is to the north east. Carisbrooke Castle is just outside Newport. For a day out, The Needles are about a 45 minute drive, but it's the far end of the island.
