The Old Dairy
The Old Dairy is on our farm near Whitwell, Isle of Wight. It's a detached building, used to be one of the farm dairies. The cottage looks out over our fields.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. Everything works. It's a conversion, so some of the doorways are low. Just mind your head in a couple of spots.
You get a patio area with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. There's a garden which is just for you. We have a few alpacas and chickens here. Guests are welcome to come and help feed the alpacas in the morning if they'd like to. We're on site if you need anything.
The village of Whitwell has a shop and a pub, both a few minutes walk away. They're good. Ventnor is about a ten minute drive. It's a proper seaside town with a mix of sand and pebble beach. The Ventnor Botanic Garden is there too, it's interesting because of the warm climate here.
For getting about, there's on-site parking and an electric vehicle charger. Inside, there's WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher. We have a cot and a highchair. There's also a small snug room with a Nintendo Switch.
For days out, the National Trust looks after a lot of the coast and some houses. The whole coast path is good for walking. You can drive to most places on the island within half an hour.
