Captain's Cottage
Captain's Cottage is in Shanklin. It's a short walk from the seafront and the town centre, so you're right in the middle of things.
It sleeps eight people. There are four bedrooms and one bathroom. The bathroom has a shower. The house has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and maintained. It's a big house, so there's plenty of space. There's a dining room, a games room, and a large conservatory. The garden is enclosed and mature, with a barbecue and a chiminea. You can park on site.
It's about a ten minute walk to the sandy beach. The town has shops, pubs, and restaurants. The bus station is very close, with links across the island, and Shanklin train station is at the end of the road. The train stops at several coastal towns.
Shanklin Chine, a wooded gorge with waterfalls, is nearby. For days out, Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle are about half an hour's drive. The Needles are about 40 minutes away.
The house has WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. Up to four well-behaved dogs are welcome.
