The Hayloft
The Hayloft is one of two old barns we've done up. It's on our farm in Wroxall.
The farm is an equestrian centre, so there are stables and fields. You'll see horses.
It’s a Grade II listed building. It’s two bedrooms, sleeps four. One room has a kingsize bed, the other has two singles. There’s one bathroom.
Downstairs is open plan. Kitchen, dining, sitting area. There are French doors that open out to your own garden at the back. It’s enclosed.
You get to it down a farm track. It’s not tarmacked.
We’re on the edge of the village, so it's quiet. Lots of footpaths start from here. It’s good for walking. The south coast is about three miles away, down towards Ventnor. It's an Area of Natural Beauty.
Ventnor is the nearest proper seaside town, about a ten minute drive. It’s built on a steep hill. There’s a beach, a park, and places to eat.
Within half an hour you can get to a lot of the island’s main spots. The Osborne House estate is near East Cowes. Carisbrooke Castle is towards Newport. The Needles are at the western tip.
Cycling is big here. You can get right out onto the trails from the door.
The donkey sanctuary is just down the road. They’re open most days.
Facilities: there’s parking, WiFi, a Smart TV, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. We’ve got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
We allow up to two dogs.
