Hill House Bakery

Hill House Bakery isn't a bakery anymore. It's the ground floor apartment of our house. You get your own entrance.

It sleeps five, but it's two bedrooms. One room has a double bed, the other has bunk beds with a single on top. There's one bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable. We had it redone a few years ago.

It's in Ventnor town. The seafront and the shops are a two-minute walk down the hill. There's a local shop and a pub about 100 yards away. The beach is sandy but it's a bit shingly. It's about half a mile.

You have your own decked courtyard out the back. It's enclosed. There's parking for one car on the drive.

The facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.

Ventnor has its own weather. It's usually a bit warmer and sunnier here than elsewhere on the island. The town is built on a steep hill, so be ready for that. It's full of classic seaside stuff: fish and chips, ice cream, a few nice pubs.

For things to do, the Ventnor Botanic Garden is great if you like plants. The coastal path is right there for walking. Within about half an hour you can drive to places like the Osborne House estate, or Carisbrooke Castle.

We can sometimes sort out a discount on the ferry crossing. You'd need to ask us about that when you book.
