Candlelight Cottage
Candlelight Cottage is in Ventnor. It's a Victorian house on a quiet road, opposite the park. You can see the sea from the top windows.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. That's handy if you've got a few couples or older kids. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's really well done up and everything's new, but it's not fussy. The kitchen is modern and has what you need. The staircase is the original one, so it's grand but a bit steep.
You're about a five minute walk from everything. Down the hill to the esplanade, the beach, the botanic gardens. There are a couple of pubs and restaurants just as close. The local shop is a ten minute walk back up the hill.
It’s got a good enclosed garden out the back. Patio with a table, then a bit of lawn. Parking for one car right outside.
Everything’s included: bedding, towels, WiFi. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
For days out, you can walk the coastal path from your doorstep. The National Trust looks after a lot of the coast here. Visit Isle of Wight has good information on everything else. In about half an hour you can drive to Shanklin, Godshill, or Alum Bay if you fancy it.
