Lower Chine Apartment
Lower Chine Apartment is on the second floor of The Adelaide, right in Shanklin. It's an open-plan space for four people, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The 4 Star rating means it's well-equipped and comfortable. It's a proper flat for a holiday, not just a room. The main thing is the location. You're that close to the beach you can hear it. The balcony looks straight out over the sand and the sea.
Inside, it's all one big room for living, cooking and eating. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and its own bathroom. The second room has twin beds. Everything you'd need is there: WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. A cot and highchair are available if you're bringing little ones.
You walk out the building and you're on the beach. The classic seaside promenade is right there with everything that goes with it. There's a local pub nearby. For a change of scene, Shanklin Chine is a short walk away. It's a wooded coastal gorge, quite unique.
If you want to explore, the whole island is within easy reach. The Visit Isle of Wight site is useful for planning. For heritage days out, English Heritage has several sites on the island like Osborne House and Carisbrooke Castle. The coastal path is excellent for longer walks.
