Greenwood Cottage is on Greenwood Farm, just outside Brading. It's a detached holiday apartment, sleeps five. Two bedrooms, one's a decent double, the other has bunk beds and a single. There's one shower room.
It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's clean and in good working order, but it's not a show home. It's practical. The living area is all open plan, kitchen at one end.
You're on an 11-acre farm. You can walk around the fields and paddocks, it's very quiet. There's a public footpath right from the farm that goes up onto Brading High Down.
The nearest beach is about a mile away, at Yaverland. Sandown and Shanklin are a short drive along the coast. Brading itself has a shop and a couple of pubs, also about a mile's walk.
If you're into history, Brading Roman Villa is just down the road. It's a good site. The whole east side of the island is easy to get to from here. For a bigger day out, Osborne House or Carisbrooke Castle are about a 20-30 minute drive.
You can bring one dog. There's bike storage if you need it, which is useful as the cycle routes here are very good. There's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included.
