Bungalow 8

This is Bungalow 8 at Fort Spinney in Yaverland. It's one of a row of bungalows, all ground floor. You get your own enclosed garden out the back. It's got a patio and some furniture.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and modern, not old-fashioned. The doorways are wide and there are no steps at the entrance, so it's suitable for wheelchairs or if you struggle with stairs.

The beach is about a minute's walk away. It's all sand, good for swimming. The beach is known for fossils. The Dinosaur Isle museum is just up the road if that's your thing.

Sandown town centre is a flat walk along the beach, past the zoo. It's a traditional seaside place with a pier, amusements, that sort of thing. There's a shop about a mile away, and a pub and restaurant half a mile.

You can walk the whole length of Sandown Bay along the seafront to Shanklin. The water sports here are popular, you'll often see people surfing or paddle boarding.

For a day out, Osborne House is about half an hour's drive. The Needles at Alum Bay are a similar distance.

Inside, there's a washing machine, WiFi, and a smart TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.

If you're planning walks or trips, Isle of Wight Council Countryside & Coast has good information.
