The Galley
The Galley is a bungalow, so everything's on one level. It's attached to our house, but you've got your own front door and it's completely private. You get the whole place to yourselves.
It sleeps two in one bedroom. There's one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 3 Star. It's clean and comfortable. It's not huge, but it's got everything you need.
You get good views out over the fields from here. The garden is enclosed, so it's secure if you're bringing dogs. We take up to two pets.
It's at Apse Heath. There's a shop and a pub about half a mile away. The beach at Sandown is a ten minute drive, maybe fifteen depending on traffic. It's sandy and good for a walk.
You're well placed for getting around the island. Bembridge Harbour is close. You can see the yachts there. Carisbrooke Castle and Osborne House are both worth a trip. Brading Roman Villa is nearby if you like history. Cowes is about twenty minutes by car if you're into the sailing.
For walking, you can start right from the door. The coastal path is easily reached. If you want to plan days out, these sites are useful: National Trust Isle of Wight and Visit Isle of Wight.
Facilities wise, it's got a washing machine, WiFi, and parking on the drive. Bedding and towels are included.
