Swallow Cottage
Swallow Cottage is just outside Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. It's a converted barn down a quiet country lane. There are some good footpaths right from the door.
It sleeps five, in two bedrooms. One has a kingsize bed. The other has three singles. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. You can park next to the cottage.
The place was done up fairly recently, so it's clean and works okay. There's a wood burner, and the TV is a smart one. WiFi is included. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs. You can bring up to two.
Shanklin has a couple of bits. The Old Village is nice for a wander. The beach is sandy and good for families. For a longer walk, Shanklin Chine is worth a visit.
You can get to most places on the island in under half an hour from here. Sandown is next door for more beach. Ventnor is about twenty minutes south. Cowes and the ferry to Southampton are about a half hour drive north.
