This is Sandstones, in Niton. It's a detached house so you're not sharing any walls. It sleeps eight, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, so there's no queue in the morning. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well kept.
The floors are flagstone in places, there are some exposed beams, and a big inglenook fireplace with a wood burner. It feels solid. There's a utility room with a washing machine, and a detached garage you can use for bike storage. You can park three cars on the drive.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. It says you can bring two. There's a BBQ out there.
Niton village is a five-minute walk. There's a shop, a pub that does food, a pizza place, and a pharmacy. You can walk to the coast from the house in about ten, fifteen minutes. The path down to the beach is a bit steep in places.
The whole south coast path is right there for walking. Ventnor's about a ten-minute drive east. If you head west, you're quickly into the more rugged bits of the coast. For a bigger day out, National Trust Isle of Wight has all their sites mapped, and Visit Isle of Wight is useful for planning.
The entrance is wheelchair accessible, just so you know. Bedding and towels are included. They leave you a welcome hamper when you arrive. If you book over Christmas, the place is decorated for it.
