Beech Cottage
Beech Cottage is in Ventnor, on the south side of the Isle of Wight. It's semi-detached and next to our house, but you have your own privacy. It gets a lot of sun and you can see the sea from the main rooms.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. The kitchen has what you need. There's a woodburner for cooler evenings.
You have a small, enclosed garden. By arrangement, you can also use the tiered terraces further up, which have better views over the sea.
It's very quiet here. The coastal path is literally at the bottom of the garden. Ventnor itself is about a five minute drive away. There's a shop half a mile away. The nearest pub is two miles, so you'll likely drive.
The beach is a few minutes walk down the path. It's shingle with some sand. You can buy fish from the boats at the harbour.
For a day out, Osborne House is about 25 minutes by car. National Trust Isle of Wight has details on other places like The Needles. Blackgang Chine is maybe 15 minutes away if you have children. Ventnor Botanical Gardens is very close.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, cot, highchair and stairgate. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
