Flat 1 Portman House is in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight. It's a decent sized flat on the ground floor, sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower.
It's a 4 Star place. Comfortable and clean. You can bring the dog, too.
The big thing is the beach. It's about a five minute walk away. You can get down from the cliff path near the flat. It's a proper sandy beach, good for swimming and that. It's usually quieter than the main parts of Shanklin and Sandown. There's a café there and you can hire beach huts.
You're a few minutes walk from the centre of Shanklin. There are shops, places to eat, pubs. The old village has thatched pubs. Down on the seafront there's the usual seaside stuff like crazy golf.
Sandown is next door. They've got a pier, amusements, and the Isle of Wight Zoo and Dinosaur Isle are there if you've got kids.
For other things to do, the island is small enough that you can get most places easily. Osborne House near Cowes is about half an hour by car. The Needles at the west end is about 40 minutes.
The flat's facilities are straightforward. Washing machine, TV, WiFi. Cot and highchair if you need them. There's an enclosed patio garden out the back. Parking is on site.
