Bungalow 3

This is Bungalow 3. It's on the Fort Spinney site in Yaverland, right near Sandown on the Isle of Wight. It's one of a row of bungalows. You've got your own little enclosed garden out the back with a table and chairs.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is on one level, which is handy. The front door and paths are wheelchair friendly.

The beach is about a hundred yards away. It's Yaverland Beach, which is a long sandy one. Good for swimming. You can see the red cliffs and the white chalk of Culver Cliff. They find fossils there sometimes.

There's a pub and a restaurant about half a mile away. The nearest shop is a mile, in Sandown. It's a flat walk from here into Sandown past the zoo. Sandown has the pier, amusements, that sort of thing. You can walk along the seafront all the way to Shanklin if you want.

If you're driving, the ferry from Portsmouth or Southampton is straightforward. You can also come by train and the fast catamaran from Southampton straight to Sandown.

For things to do, the Dinosaur Isle museum is just up the road. The Isle of Wight Zoo is next door, it's known for its big cats. Further afield, you've got Osborne House, The Needles at Alum Bay, and Blackgang Chine. They're all within about a 30 minute drive.

In the bungalow, there's a washing machine, a cot and highchair if you need them, and the bedding and towels are included. WiFi is there. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There's parking right outside.
